Andrew's First Road Trip

Saturday my mom & I took Andrew on his first of many road trips to Paris, TX to celebrate 2 new Cagle cousins on their way. It's official, he is truly a Young family member because his Dad and I LOVE the open road & apparently the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
My little road warrior

Here is the 2nd generation of Cagle cousins. What a fun day celebrating Baby Boy Shelton & Baby Girl Hays. I can't wait for Thanksgiving this year and watching Andrew interact with his little cousins.

Jaymie, Sarah, Paige, Julie, Taryn, me, Rachel and Maurine

One of my prayers during the 4 years of infertility is that when God blessed us with a baby he would also bless family members so that our child could have the same community of cousins that Jeff and I have enjoyed growing up. There is just something special about the bond we Cagle cousins share. A testimony to my grandmother and her siblings who instilled in all of us the want and desire to have a close bond with our extended family. I pray and desire nothing less for little Andrew.

God has been faithful in answering that prayer for us.

Cousin Jaymie had Quinn, a now one year old.
Cousin Maurine had Mallory, who is 2 months older than Andrew.
Cousin Andrea (not pictured & greatly missed Saturday) had baby Leland who is just a few months older than Andrew.
Cousin Julie  is expecting a baby girl in April.
Cousin Taryn is expecting a baby boy in February.

And this does not even include the cousins who have been born in the past 5-6 years (or Jeff's side of the family) Truly, truly blessed Andrew and his generation of cousins will be.  We just need to make sure that our generation passes on the same family love that was passed down to us.  :)

Andrew talking things over with his cousin Jaymie.  This kid had no fear getting right in there and getting acquainted with his older cousins. It was very sweet to watch.

I say it all the time...one of my cousin Clint's best decisions EVER was to ask my good friend Rachel to be his wife.  Now we are forever friends all because we are "cousins".

Andrew meeting cousin Sue.

"Singing" in Cousin Paige's lap.  He sat with her for a good while. :)

Showing Rachel a few of his favorite tricks.

The video quality is not the best because I took it with my point & click camera but here is a video of Andrew talking to Rachel.

What a fun, fun day!!!

Here's to many more fun road trips and Cagle cousin get togethers!

Love you chicks (and gents!)
