Twas the Week Before School...

The week before school started we had each of the Johnson cousins over for a sleepover. Andrew was in HEAVEN!  He sure does love these time with his cousins.

We had each of the cousin's over for their very own night.  It should be noted that Elijah opted to bring big sister Katy for his sleepover.  He wanted to be big and sleep over but he wasn't ready to go without his sleeping buddy.  Is that not the sweetest?

Each of the nights consisted of pizza, baking cookies and playing with Andrew.   I let each child choose what they wanted to do after Andrew went to sleep.  The girls were very similar in what they chose to do (paint nails and watch teen movies).  Elijah on the other hand was all boy---he wanted to watch every Superhero cartoon I could find on Netflix and play Lego Batman.  On his night, we spent LOTS of time playing outside.  Grandpa stayed late that Wednesday night and played catch for a long time with him.  Please notice his LEAP in the air...PRICELESS!

On Katy's day, Elijah came to play for the morning while Missy took Faith school clothes shopping.  I was working in the office while the kids played in the living room.  I think this was the first day that Andrew played without his parents watching every move.  The three of them were having a great time and it blessed me to the core to hear the laughter coming from the other room. At one point,  Katy & Elijah got tired of toting Andrew around (even though he is very capable of moving right along on his own these days) and found another means of transportation....HIS DUMP TRUCK.  Doesn't he look hilarious?!?  I died laughing when the wheeled him into my office.  Not once did he complain, he just laughed and played right along with them.

It sure did warm my heart to have the kids stay over for one last hurrah before school started.  Here is to many, many more Cousin Sleepovers in the days, months, years to come! :)
