We celebrated National Corn Dog day on March 17 with Corn dogs for lunch.
Lynnie came to spend the night and this was the picture I snapped of Andrew sitting at the table like a big boy having a grand conversation with my mom.
I have started moving my computer to the dining room table during play time because it offers a better vantage point for watching Andrew & allows me to answer emails with fewer interruptions. One day Andrew grabbed a few books and sat next to me to read. He thumbed through his books for a good 15 minutes and when I snapped his picture, he looked up and said "Cheese!"
This past month I redid our flower beds. Andrew helped dig out a few rocks in one of the beds. He loves to dig in the dirt and have found this a great way to entertain him while I get to enjoy a bit of gardening.
And when he got tired of digging, he pulled out his chair and xylophone and played a little gardening music for us. And please admire his outfit, this was his first day to dress himself. :)
We introduced him to running through the sprinklers one Saturday afternoon. The sunglasses were a gift from my Dad & Andrew insists on wearing them outdoors, indoors and in the tub. Notice his tongue sticking out drinking the water and his can of Farkel his carries with him EVER WHERE. Hilarious!
The weekend before Easter we had an egg decorating party with the Young cousins (which deserves a blog post all it's own) After we gave the boys bath, Aunt Mere helped the boys play hide & seek with Jacob. This picture of the the two boys with their face stuck to the fence counting CRACKS ME UP!!
Wednesdays with Papa continue to be a big hit at our house each week. One week this month Andrew was not feeling 100% and was in super cuddle mode. My Dad got to take advantage of this and got a good nap in with his youngest grandson.
Andrew loves playing with our neighbors. Sweet Miss L is his favorite. She has two younger siblings and is great with Andrew. When he sees their car pull in the drive after school, he goes running to the car. Miss L's mom says that she has found Andrew to be a great motivator for finishing homework and chores.
