for mother's day this year, Jeff gifted me 24 hours to hang with my mom...KID FREE!
BEST.GIFT.EVER!!!
we started the night at Central Market & then said goodbye to the boys and headed to her apartment for a sleepover. the next day I woke up super early and had an extended quiet time surrounded by all things mom that make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. we had one of our coffee chat that we are famous for followed by a nap for the mother of a 2 year old. we then headed to Dallas for a bit of retail therapy at one of my favorite new shops, Wisteria. we had a long lunch at the best little restaurant in downtown Dallas on the patio surrounded by trees and the most wonderful breeze. we hit up a few thrift shops then headed to church for a night of worship. it was a sweet time with just me & mom and so grateful to Jeff for allowing this time with my mom.
and on a personal note: thanks mom for being the type of mom is able to carry on one of the deepest, most real conversations about God's grace, love and mercy all the while sipping a Bloody Mary. Man, they were good & you're are the best friend/mom a girl could ask for.
